GAIA Resort

“Zao Shokudo” to Be Featured by topo—Add Local Flavor to Your Stay in Zao
A stay that connects you with the stories of the town.
On September 18, 2026, from 3:30 p.m., Zao Shokudo is scheduled to welcome a production team from “topo,” a video and information service featuring destinations, food and culture across the Tohoku region.
The program will introduce the restaurant’s cuisine, its use of local ingredients and its role in connecting travelers with the local community. Broadcasting details will be announced when confirmed.
Stay in Zao and Join the Local Table
Zao Shokudo offers dishes made with ingredients from Zao and Miyagi.
Guests can enjoy casual set meals during the day and relax over local dishes and drinks in the evening. After exploring Zao’s natural scenery and soaking in the hot springs, a meal at Zao Shokudo adds another memorable experience to your stay.
GAIA Resort connects accommodations with hot springs, restaurants, local shops, agriculture and community spaces through the concept of Ospitalità Diffusa.
Rather than spending your entire visit inside one property, step into the community, taste its food and meet its people.
Stay with GAIA Resort and discover Zao through its landscapes, hot springs and local table.
