若い世代が蔵王の地域づくりを体験――東京国際大学と常盤木学園高校の学生・生徒が蔵王へ

2026年8月17日、蔵王山水苑内の別荘「ホワイトハウス」へ来場、エリア内で毎月開催されている「蔵王福祉の森構想委員会」の会議が行われました。
今回は、ガイアグループでインターンシップを開始した東京国際大学の学生と、khb東日本放送のニュース番組「チャージ！」や宮城大学との共同研究に関する報道をきっかけに、ガイア代表の相澤国弘へ面談を申し込んだ常盤木学園高校の生徒が参加しました。
別荘が、地域と人をつなぐ学びの場所に
会場となったホワイトハウスは、豊かな自然に囲まれた蔵王山水苑の別荘です。
この日は、東京国際大学の学生と常盤木学園高校の生徒が、地域づくりに携わる委員の皆様と同じテーブルを囲みました。
会議では、ガイアが採択された「100億企業成長加速化補助金事業」を起点とする今後の展開をはじめ、観光、宿泊、空き家・別荘の再生、食、農業、福祉、医療、移住、二地域居住、防災など、蔵王の未来に関わる幅広いテーマについて意見が交わされました。
地域づくりが進められている実際の現場に若い世代が加わり、世代や立場を越えた活発な対話が生まれました。

Program: Tokyo International University internship, community-based learning for a Tokiwagi Gakuen High School student, and participation in the Zao Welfare Forest Initiative Committee meeting
On August 17, 2026, the monthly meeting of the Zao Welfare Forest Initiative Committee was held at White House, a villa located within Zao Sansuien.
The meeting was attended by students from Tokyo International University beginning their internship with the GAIA Group, as well as a student from Tokiwagi Gakuen High School. After watching media coverage of the GAIA Group on khb Higashinippon Broadcasting’s news program “Charge!” and reports about its joint research with Miyagi University, the high school student personally requested a meeting with GAIA Group President Kunihiro Aizawa.
A Villa Connecting People, Learning and the Community
Surrounded by the rich natural environment of Zao Sansuien, White House became a place where university and high school students could sit at the same table with people actively involved in shaping the region’s future.
The participants discussed a wide range of subjects, including the GAIA Group’s newly selected “100-Billion-Yen Company Growth Acceleration Subsidy Project,” tourism, accommodation, the regeneration of vacant homes and villas, food, agriculture, welfare, healthcare, migration, dual-location living and disaster preparedness.
The meeting created a valuable opportunity for open dialogue across different generations and backgrounds.
